"Heartbreak is tempered by gratitude as we remember the pride and joy and love we shared with More Than Luck." —Tish Quirk, owner and breeder of More Than Luck

Tish and John Quirk imported his dam, Inetta, specifically to produce this stallion with the breeding to Best Of Luck, son of Lucky Boy.

More Than Luck was an exceptionally versatile and athletic stallion. He proved himself in International Jumper competition and championships in Regular Working and Conformation Hunters. More Than Luck had the power, speed and scope to win in the jumpers, and the quality, style, and temperament to win in the hunters.

More Than Luck was the Top Dutch Horse in the Young Jumper Championships. He proved his versatility as a young horse when he won the International Hunter Futurity 4-Year-Old Under Saddle the same day he jumped all clear rounds in the International Jumper Futurity. He was a Conformation Hunter Champion and an International Jumper, before his competition career was cut short by a breeding injury.

More Than Luck continued the family tradition of champions siring champions (see below). He passed on the best of himself to his offspring and they have achieved great success in both disciplines. He was Leading Sire at the Sallie B Wheeler Hunter Breeding Championship and sired multiple winners including the Best Young Horse on the West Coast.

His foals are big, correct, attractive athletes with calm, brave, friendly temperaments, and are proven champions. More Than Luck carries excellent bloodlines and passes on the best of his great heritage.
